As one of North America's largest
game ranches, Arroyo Grande's traditions are now focused
on the special adventure and hunting opportunities of
those interested in the Ranch's abundance of Whitetail
Deer and numerous exotics. Over 30 different native
and exotic species of game are managed on the 25 square
miles that constitute Arroyo Grande Ranch.
Today, two generations of Texas A & M graduates, Robert
Mayer and his father, Ralph Mayer, run the legendary
Ranch which has earned repeated recognition from the
State of Texas for Whitetail management. Other traditions
include trophy game, with numerous Safari Club International
quality animals and hunters who have qualified for Texas
Big Game Hunting Awards for the past several years
